Word of Mouth is the Best Advertising! With the spring comes planning for next year and we need your help. Parents have many choices of where to send their children to school and in St. Paul our school budgets are based on the number of students that choose our school. As Como Park Elementary parents/guardians you know the dedication that our staff has to your children and their learning. You know that our hallways are safe and quiet, that we enjoy celebrating our successes and diversity, that we work hard to support both your child's academic and social/emotional development. We need you to share that information with friends and neighbors. We need you to tell them about the small class sizes, the extra teachers to both help and challenge your children, the family events, the bilingual support, the things that you feel make Como a good school. We can put articles in newspapers and our test scores are higher than many of the surrounding schools, but the best advertising we have is you. It is hard to believe that Como was once a school on probation, but sadly that is the perspective many still hold. You and I know differently, I need your help to communicate that message to your neighbors. Be sure to come to our School Carnival on May 31st. Our School Carnival is a time to come together as a community and enjoy one another. If you have an interested neighbor, bring them along and let them see first hand the school that Como Park Elementary is today.
