Where is the Truth?
by Makayla
(A variation on the song, "Where is the Love?" by Black Eyed Peas)

What’s wrong with Bush?
Why he acting like he got no sense?
I think he’s addicted to the drama and trauma that the soldiers are going through,
Trying to help people that don’t want to get help.
When down here in the USA we have the Bloodz and the Crips and KKK,
If he would just run his country, then we could get help but with him wanting to dominate not only America but the world.
As he thinks he’s helping the only thing he’s doing is creating hate that will only generate death.
People lying, people dying,
Can Bush please do what’s right,
When you do what’s right,
We can only achieve,
But with Bush doing this all I ask is
Where is the truth,
Where is the truth
Where is the truth,
The truth,
The truth,

Her Name
By Makayla

I made a friend today,
I think her name is Milly,
Wait!
No!
It was Lilly,
Was it Tilly?
Maybe,
It was Willy,
Zilly,
This is silly!
No, really,
I know her name!
It was something with illy,
Oh, wait,
It was Irene!

No More Bloody Monster Stories
By Makayla

No more bloody monsters stories, scaring me at night.
I don’t want to hear about monsters without sight.
Right after I go to sleep they come and invade my dreams.
No more bloody monster stories scaring me at night!

Dad
By Makayla

When I was born,
He held me
As I sucked his finger,
And wouldn’t let go.
When I was young,
Around five,
He’d chase me at the park,
He’d be the monster and I’d run,
Sometimes he’d get me,
Sometimes not,
AHHHHHHHH!
He’d push me on the swing,
Then we’d go home.
When I was around seven,
We started to play catch with the football,
Over the years I got better,
And over the years he got old and worst,
Now we are even,
Over the years
 He bought me books,
And lot’s of them,
My book shelfs are stuffed,
My books,
Everyday he ask me if I’ve been writing,
Because he knows I lke writing,
Everyday I say yes,
I will never forget the best thing he gave me...
Love.

School’s Out
By Makayla

Fifteen more minutes until school’s out,
I can’t wait!
Ten more minutes until school’s out,
I can’t wait,
I’m excited,
I’m about to burst,
Five more minutes until school’s out,
I can’t wait,
I’m excited,
I’m about to burst,
Tick-Tock the clock is going,
One more minute until school’s out,
I can’t wait,
I’m excited,
I’m about to burst,
Tick-Tock the clock is going,
School’s Ou…
Wait,
The clock is messed up,
It’s two hours ahead,
Ah, Man!
