Kindergarten Language Development Model (KLDM) Features of the Kindergarten Language Development Model are: •Level One English Language Learners attend both mainstream half-day kindergarten and up to a half-day intensive ESL class daily. •KLDM students attend full-day kindergarten programming. for the morning, KLDM students are heterogeneously grouped and participate in the general education classroom. •The KLDM teacher supports all of the ELL kindergarteners through collaborative ELL services. •Provides educational experience in heterogeneous classes for the ELL students. •Collaboration with the mainstream in the KLDM includes daily contact with mainstream teacher.
