In the morning we do discourse. We have to write our spelling words in discourse. Then we switch to differnt classrooms. We go to Mr. olson's class. In Mr. olson class he tells us what is our homework today. Our homework today is to do definitions our homework is so so easy.

Prep

Our prep starts at 9:15-10:15. Every 3 weeks, we go to different preps like swimming, science, and gym. Andrew, Alejandro, and Mai Lee go to art, science, and gym. I think gym is really fun. When we go to swimming, we practice swimming and then we can have freetime. When we go to science, we learn many things like animal, sharks or making making things go ( like Go Carts). When we go to gym, we exercise first and then we play games. When preps are over. we go back to the classroom.

Math

We have math everyday at 11:30.  In math we learn new words that have to do with math. We learned different kind of lines. They are:  line segment, horizontal, oblique, and vertical. We learned how to add up quickly. We also have to add up money like 75 cents, 59 cents, and 43 cents as quickly as possible. What we students also learned was radius.  We had to connect the string to the crayon and hold the end of the line of a string to a paper and draw it around.  Before that we measured the inches of the string and wrote it in the circle.  By Abdullahi

Lunch/Recess

Everyday we eat lunch at 12:35. On Oct,15 we ate Enchilada bake. It was good. I  eat lunch with my class and Jean Snowden's class. When we are done I chat with Andrew, Lue, Bee,and Aub.  Also at lunchtime two people are tablewashers for one week. When  they're done they switch.  When we are done eating we go outside.  I play football with my class and Jean's class and other kids too.  Then we pick who is captain and then we have two teams.  We play two hand touch football.  Sometimes I play basketball too.

Writer's Workshop

Everyday at 1:30 we do writing. We are writing about Cambodia. We have finished writing about Cambodian flogs and clothes and land and jobs. The flag  has red in the middle and the color blue is on the top and bottom and they have the Ankor Wat Temple in the middle. The land grows food. The clothes look different than our clothes. Some Cambodian people's jobs are: soldiers and fire fighers and doctors and builders and police and hunters.

Image Gallery: Our trip to Valley Branch
We used a compass because we were learning alot about compasses. We learned how to use it and the teacher told us what we had to do. He gave us directions for using the compass. When the arrow is on the red it means its pointing that way. When we were done we had a direction paper and it said to walk 15 spaces and you have to say and 1, and 2, and 3 all the way to 15. Then it said" look for a yellow paper aroud the bush." When we finished we learned how to use a camera and we went outside and took pictures of turkeys in the grass. We took many different pictures at Valley Branch. At 1:30 we went back and returned the cameras. We went back to the bus and went back to school. By : Lue Her
