We invited our parents and a few other classrooms to view our Power Point Presentation on an ABC History of Deafness in the small gym on May 17.
The gym was packed! Each of us had | | Audrey's letter was "F" for fingerspelling. | to read the letter we had written about. We were nervous but we all did a great job.
At the end of the presentation we told people about our book. We gave copies of our book to Lora and Paula | | Cheng's letter was "M" for the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf | because of all their help when we made the book. We gave another copy of the book for the D/HH Library. Thanks to a generous donation from Colleen Hartmon-Bollom at Piper Jaffray, each of us got a copy | | Emily welcomed everyone to the presentation. | of the book to take home. The donation came to us through the Adopt-A-Classroom program. Boy, did we get lucky!!
 | | Jalesa explained that "A" was for Alice Cogswell. It was because of her that Thomas Gallaudet wanted to learn and teach sign language. |
 | | Maggie explained that Juan Pablo Bonet wrote a book about sign language. |
 | | Sarena's letter was "W" for "Who's Who." There are many famous people who are deaf. |
 | | Sophie told us that "I" is for "Interpreter." |
